Te Ahuahau

Here is my published recount about our walk up Te Ahuahu mountain. Arlia and Kyra helped me edit it. I want you to notice that I used a simile.

WOW! as I looked through the bus window. “We are finally there.” I walk out the bus carefully. All of us were bunched up. Then the teachers came out. They opened up the gates. We walked through slowly……

All the seniors had buddies. Mine was Buster and Veon. Suddenly Buster was gone. So we carried on walking up the mountain. It was as lumpy as a camel’s back.. I noticed Veon was getting more tired each time. Now he disappeared. Oh No! I lost 2 of my buddies. Then I looked back he was with Mrs Gardner and Mrs Stevenson. Then Piata came. She said to me that she didn’t have a buddy. I answered” I can be your buddy. So we climbed up the mountain. Finally we made it. We all got out our lunch boxes.  “Look at the pretty View.”

Then a man came. He had a bone stuck through his ear. He told us about mountains, and Hone heke.
It was interesting. The bone was as white as a sheep. After we had some more lunch. Now we had to go down. We rushed down. We were nearly at the gate. Finally we are there. Vroom Vroom! Oh there is the bus. That was Fun but, Sometimes Bumpy! It would be cool to do that again.
